Top 10: Valentine’s Mistakes to Avoid(For Couples)

10 -Bragging About Your V-Day Plans to Dateless Friends

Out of consideration, keep the announcements minimum about the surprise your babe has in the works or asking your friends to help you find the perfect gift, especially if they have yet to make plans of their own. While friends should always be supportive and happy for their girls, it also works the other way to keep some stuff on the humble.

9 - Bootlegging Poems to Pass Off As Your Own

Trust me when I say, I’ve seen it happen(and it wasn’t me) but if you want to add a personal touch to Valentine’s Day, steer clear of googling, “Valentine’s Day Poems” because as simply as you found it, so can she.

8  - Matching Outfits

I actually saw this last weekend at a random visit to Lovergirls NYC. A “hers and hers”, velour sweat suit complete with jacket and shiny pant. I wish to never see it again.

7 - Matching Outfits in Red or Pink

Refer to Number 8 above; only read it again twice over.

6 - Not Making Reservations

Everyone will be out taking their sweeties to the local Dallas BBQ and every other restaurant for the recession specials, so make your reservations early and have a couple of backup locations just in case something goes awry.

5 - Taking her to the Club

Leave the party scene for the singles trying to get some at the end of the night. While I’m not an advocate of couple’s going to the club together on any other occasion, just say no that night.

4 - Non-Thoughtful Gift-giving

I don’t think a big box of CVS chocolates while she’s on her New Years workout plan or tacky lingerie one size too big will go over so well, so make note of her likes and dislikes when searching for the V-Day present.

3 - Not Buying a Gift at All

You don’t want to be caught empty-handed; not on this day. Tattoo the date on your wrist if you must, be please don’t let her stand there with your present and you standing there dumbfounded and embarrassed.

2 - Saying What You Don’t Mean. Like, “Marry Me”

It’s easy to get swept in the romantic air of the night especially when the chances of having sex at the end of the night are pretty high( if you’ve played your cards right). If you’ve just started dating or still taking it slow, avoid the cliché, heat of the moment sayings by simply saying little to nothing at all.

The Number One Thing to AVOID this Valentine’s Day….

1 - ANY and EVERYTHING that will ruin your chances of getting some loving the end of the night

If you’re debating on what any and everything might include; that’s probably it.
